
Sokoto State Ministry for Religious Affairs Reaffirms Commitment to Social Welfare, Explores Partnership with Rain Healthcare Initiatives
The Sokoto State Ministry for Religious Affairs has reiterated its commitment to implementing initiatives that promote a decent and improved quality of life for the people of the state.
Commissioner of the Ministry, Dr. Jabir Sani Maihula, made this pledge while receiving members of the management team from Rain Healthcare Initiatives and Good Leadership during a courtesy visit to his office.
Dr. Maihula highlighted that the Ministry is actively collaborating with reputable partners, including the Dangote Foundation, UNICEF, the American Embassy, and others, to enhance the living standards of citizens across various sectors. He expressed the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with Rain Healthcare Initiatives and Good Leadership in its mission to sensitize and educate the public on the dangers of drug abuse, with the aim of fostering a healthier and more responsible society.
Earlier, the Executive Director of Rain Healthcare Initiatives and Good Leadership, Mr. Usman Hamza, briefed the Commissioner on the organization’s ongoing activities. These include supporting government efforts to improve public healthcare delivery and partnering with relevant agencies to address pressing social issues. He called on the Ministry to join forces in community sensitization campaigns against drug abuse and in broader societal reorientation programs.
The meeting was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Sani Labaran, the Director of Planning, Mr. Sani Torankawa, and other executive members of Rain Healthcare Initiatives and Good Leadership.
