In a significant move to enhance the well-being of vulnerable populations in Sokoto State, Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Agency.

The MoU, signed on Thursday, 10th July 2025, establishes a strategic framework for collaboration between the two organizations. The partnership focuses on delivering comprehensive support in areas such as healthcare services, mental health support, education and welfare for orphans, and empowerment programs for people with special needs.

The signing ceremony took place at the premises of the Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Agency. It was officiated by Usman Hamza, Executive Director of Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership, and Rabi’atu Maiturare Dogon Daji, Acting Director of Administration, who represented the Chairman of the Zakat Agency.

Designed to span an initial period of three years, with the potential for renewal, this partnership aims to provide sustainable and impactful interventions tailored to the needs of the most vulnerable individuals across the state.

The ceremony was witnessed by members of the MoU committee and staff from both organizations. This collaboration is expected to bring about meaningful change in the lives of many, as both institutions reaffirm their commitment to social development, community well-being, and inclusive progress.
