As part of its commitment to promoting public health and supporting government-led healthcare interventions, Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership supervised the polio immunization exercise which commenced on April 26, 2025, in Yabo and Tambuwal Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.
The organization’s team, led by Executive Director Usman Hamza, attended the official flag-off ceremony held at Garkar Ajiya in Yabo Local Government. A significant number of children under the age of five were immunized at the launch site.
Following the ceremony, the team observed the ongoing house-to-house vaccination efforts, where dedicated health workers moved from household to household to administer the oral polio vaccine to children in the area.
Similarly, the organization’s delegation extended its supervision to Dogon Daji and Nabaguda in Tambuwal Local Government. There, the team monitored the progress of the vaccination teams as they diligently carried out their door-to-door immunization campaign.
